درباره نویسنده کتاب توسعه پیری و زندگی سازه های دریایی: چالش مدیریت یکپارچگی سازه

گرهارد اردار علاقه ای به ساختارهای موجود و به ویژه ایمنی سازه های قدیمی نداشته است. او مدرک کارشناسی ارشد مهندسی ساخت و ساز را در سال 1991 دریافت کرد و سپس هشت سال در یک شرکت مهندسی عمده در نروژ (Multiconsult) در زمینه طراحی سازه های دریایی و پل ها و نیز بازسازی بسیاری از ساختمان های تاریخی در نروژ کار کرد. در سال 1999، او به اداره نفت نروژ ملحق شد و تحقیقات در مورد ایمنی سازه های قدیمی تر دریایی در یک برنامه دکترا در دانشگاه استاوانگر انجام داد. او مدیر پروژه برنامه تحقیقاتی پیری و زندگی انسانی سازمان نرمافزار نفت نروژ است و مسئولیت چند کارگاه، کنفرانس و مقالات در این زمینه است. در سال 2013، او به عنوان استاد دانشگاه در استاوانگره در ساخت و سازهای سنی و زندگی، اهدا شد.
